Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Testing
Available starting at 10 weeks of pregnancy
Seeking answers during pregnancy can feel emotional, confusing, or overwhelming. Lab Savvy is here to guide you through the process with privacy, compassion, and respect.
Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Testing, also called NIPP, can help determine biological paternity before the baby is born. Testing is available starting at 10 weeks of pregnancy.
The test requires a blood sample from the mother and a cheek-swab sample from each potential father being tested. No sample is taken directly from the baby.
NIPP testing starts at $1,450. Final pricing may vary based on the number of participants and individual case needs.
Our team will explain the next steps, answer your questions, and help you feel prepared throughout the process.

Legal vs. Informational Testing
Legal DNA Testing
Legal DNA testing follows applicable identification and chain-of-custody procedures. Acceptance of results depends on the requirements of the court or requesting organisation and the testing process used. Commonly used for child support, custody, immigration, estate, and other legal matters.
- Collected by a trained, neutral third party
- Current, unexpired government-issued photo identification generally required
- Chain-of-custody documentation maintained
- Designed for legal use when all collection, identification, laboratory, and requesting-organization requirements are satisfied
- Processed by an AABB-accredited relationship-testing laboratory when required for the selected service
Informational DNA Testing
Personal peace-of-mind testing not intended for legal use. More flexible collection process, results are for personal knowledge only.
- Self-collected or professionally collected
- No chain-of-custody required
- Results not admissible in court
- Faster turnaround in some cases
- Lower cost option for personal use
